Second Oil Change & Tire Rotation
Went to Pacific Ford in Long Beach, CA today for a oil change and tire rotation. I took in 6 quarts of 5w 20 Mobil 1 oil and a Mobil 1 filter. Was charged $12.60 for the labor on the oil change and $20.00 for the tire rotation. Total bill $32.60. I'm a big believer in Mobil 1 after having used it exclusively on our last car. I'm going to attempt changing my own oil next time as it appears to be quite easy. Now averaging around 19.5 mpg over all. No problems to report.

Help. I am trying to get a feel on the practicality of the black leather interior. Plan to order my Freestyle in the next month. I am afraid of windshield glare with the pebble interior. I was told the darker the carpet the harder it was to keep clean-looking. I know the black leather seats will look great, but what about interior fade?

I've had no problems with glare or any trouble with interior fade on our black interior. As others have said, especially on the dash, it's not exactly a deep black. I'm one of those few folks who still use a heavy duty window shade when parking in the Southern California sun. It keeps the car cooler and hopefully protects the interior too.
As far as the carpets go, I ordered after market floor mats for all three rows.
Picked up our 2006 Freestyle on Friday w/14 miles on the OD. It rained on Sunday and we woke up with over 2 inches of water on the passenger floor. Took it back to the dealer and they stated fresh air intake under wiper cover was installed upside sown and backwards and visibly forced into place. UAW payback??? Major interior water and electrical damage. Should have bought the Pacifica. What a shame. Going to trade it in ASAP.
